Metal is almost infinitely recyclable, but during our research into ethical jewellery we discovered that low quality gold-plated jewellery is difficult to repair, the plating process may use polluting chemicals, and over time the plating can wear off resulting in jewellery that ends up in landfill. Therefore solid metals have much greater longevity and are therefore the responsible choice.  Wild Fawn make all of their jewellery with solid, recycled precious metals.
